Troops of Saint George — Virtus. Honor. Fraternitas. — Troop #1545

Raising the next generation of Catholic men.

Based in Fennimore, Wisconsin, Troop #1545 is a father-and-son apostolate of the Troops of Saint George — forming boys in virtue through the outdoors, the sacraments, and the example of the men who lead them.

Virtus. Honor. Fraternitas.

Our Mission

“The Troops of Saint George apostolate aims to use the outdoors as our canvas and the sacraments as our path to light the way for the formation of Holy Catholic men and boys.”

Our Program

Fathers and sons, side by side.

We are not a drop-off program. Dads come along — camping, praying, and working shoulder to shoulder with their sons. What a boy learns here he learns from the men beside him.

The Outdoors

Campouts, hiking, fishing, shooting sports, and skills that build competence and grit — learned in the field, not from a screen.

The Sacraments

Mass, confession, and the Rosary are woven into everything we do. Adventure is the canvas; the sacramental life is the point.

Brotherhood

Boys are grouped into patrols and led by older boys, learning to serve, to lead, and to answer for one another.

Service

Our troop serves the parish and the wider community, because a man's strength is meant to be spent on somebody else.

Troop #1545 welcomes Catholic boys ages 6–18 and their fathers or another trusted male guardian. No prior outdoor experience is needed — only a willingness to show up.
